I woke up this morning eagerly anticipating my experience with Ambrette Seed. It has been a busy day, and I am just getting to my time with Ambrette Seed, and it is already almost 4 pm. But she has been patiently awaiting her “moment”…and I get, very strongly, that she is about TIMING. Very much about TIMING. Teaching us to be sensitive to others, and not just focussed on our own agenda or our own timetable.
Wow. She brought me right in…even before I had a chance to tell you about herbackground! Our Ambrette Seed essence is from France. It is very rare, very costly, but so incredibly valuable to us humans. Her botanical name is Abelmoschus moschatus, and she is from the Malvaceae family. Like Ajowan, which we mentioned on Day 2, the essence is made from the seeds of the plant.
She has a sweet, musky, floral odor. She is used to calm anxiety, and fear; she is also an adrenal and hormonal stimulant, male/female balancer, and helps to bring out the feminine side in men, the masculine side in women.
I remember years ago, when I was in a very male-dominated, corporate career, I realized that I really needed to nurture my feminine side, as I was with men all day in a man’s world. I applied 8-10 drops of Ambrette Seed to my abdomen every night for several weeks…I needed to “soften” my tone and call upon my female characteristics more than I had been. The Ambrette Seed brought me more into balance…softened my predominant masculine side…and brought my feminine side front & center! That is my most powerful personal memory of working with Ambrette Seed.
Ambrette Seed can also be used as as an aphrodisiac…wonderful on the root chakra. And…Ambrette Seed is for infertility…of the body, mind and spirit.
I think her message of balance goes way beyond physical/gender balance. It also speaks to balance in our lives…not becoming identified too much with one aspect of our lives, but having rich, full, multi-faceted lives. Ambrette Seed is reminding me that we are at our most balanced, and our most creative, when we branch out, experientially, and have a deep internal reservoir from which to draw.
She also knows the value of peace…especially inner peace…for who can create a work of art or soothe the tears of another if they are internally chaotic or at war?? So the final teaching from Ambrette Seed is that she helps bring us to inner peace, if that is what we desire.
With love from the plants & trees…Audre Gutierrez
